International Student Orientation
International Student Orientation is intended to support international students with smooth transition to new education system, culture, and environments. The orientation covers information of campus resources, campus tour, and students activities. In addition, the orientation creates a close community for the students before attending the New Student orientation with domestic students. In so doing, international students make most of experience from the very beginning till the end.
Get in Culture Events
Get in Culture is an event where students can join our office to dig deeper into new, different cultures. A presenter talks about a country that the person feels belonged to and explains cultural differences between the county and the United States. My responsibilities include: preparation of presentation, logistics, catering food related to a country being presented, and event marketing. I delivered presentation focusing on Japanese culture as a start, which was followed by two more series about Hungary and the Netherlands. I closely work with presenters for culturally accurate, appropriate event.
